Twins Research Australia is the new voice of the Australian Twin Registry. Along with the new name, we have launched a new logo and expanded website for researchers.
Director, Professor John Hopper, says the name change recognises that the facility has grown to become much more than a twin research register.
“We are now a driving force in conducting our own innovative studies, and empowering twin research in institutes and hospitals Australia-wide,” he said.
“We are also taking an increasing role in advocating for the twin community. Our research includes studies of the unique health concerns of twins and their families. We are also developing evidence-based educational resources to support them in living happy and healthy lives.
“Our new name reflects the increasing diversity and depth of our work and represents our unique contribution to Australian medical research.”
Our updated website www.twins.org.au features an expanded research section including: how to conduct research with Twins Research Australia, twin study designs, access to twins and data, membership profile and more.
We thank you for your ongoing support and welcome your feedback on these changes. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Twins Research Australia Manager, Jenny Boadle This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
