The ATR team extends to you and your family our best wishes for a safe and happy festive season, and we thank you for your contribution to an amazing year for the registry.
We share some of our 2014 highlights with you:
The ATR recently received confirmation that it is a recipient of a new Centre for Research Excellence Grant from the National Health and Medical Research Council. This is a huge honour for the ATR, our members and supporters. More details to follow early next year.
The ATR and our members supported 15 twin studies in 2014, reflecting a huge diversity of research including diabetes and memory, speech disorders, language and literacy learning, singing ability, epilepsy and bone health, and breast cancer. Learn more about current studies seeking twins here.
The first conference of its kind in Australia, Healthier kids: Insights from twin research, is being presented by the ATR in partnership with Murdoch Childrens Research Institute on 5 December. It brings top international twin researchers together with the twin community to consider current child health issues. Learn more about the issues, findings and keynote speakers here.
It’s going to be a very exciting 2015 and we look forward to sharing it with you!
